Things You Can Do This Week

June 3 – 10, 2020

Hello Side with Love Friend,
It has been a strange and sad week. There are so many things to consider at this time.

You can Support FANG’s Community Bail Fund:
https://www.gofundme.com/f/fangbailfund Money collected for this fund goes to help out anyone needing bail, from those arrested Monday night, to detainees seeking asylum who are currently locked up in the Wyatt Detention Center. In the coming days, anyone could be needing bail money, as we prepare for more protests under curfew in many cities.

If you live in the city of Providence, take the Community Choice Aggregation Survey about their proposed electricity program.

There are plenty of other events you can attend on line, and two  Black Lives Matter Rallies, one on Thursday at 4pm, and one on Friday at 4:30pm. The organizers of these rallies want people to be safe, and are encouraging people to wear their masks. Remember, if you are a person who is immunocompromised or over 60, you need to take extra precautions to be safe. Stick to the outside of the gathering, wear your mask, keep physically distanced and wash or sanitize your hands ASAP when you leave the gathering. You need to keep yourself safe for those who love you. There will be more protests and events, you can show your solidarity in other ways.

Whatever you do, stay healthy, and be safe.

In solidarity and love,
Katherine
