In A Theology of Play, theologian Jürgen Moltmann writes that “liberation from the bonds of the present system of living takes place by playing games.” In this service, we will experiment with how play can create opportunities to glimpse more liberatory futures and allow us to return to our present transformed and renewed.
Katie Byron is a recent graduate of Boston University School of Theology, candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry, and aspiring hospital chaplain. They are also a social worker and currently work and live in Boston as a therapist, partnering with people to play with new ways of being in the world.
