Homecoming and Water Communion

In a beloved tradition, we’ll gather together at the front door of our Meeting House in our fullest community – all ages, members, friends, and visitors – and enter our church as one as we embark on the fresh church year. We’ll hear and make music together and share our water from the four directions where we’ve spent time this summer.

Please bring real or symbolic water from anywhere you were this summer. We’ll bless the water we gather and add it to the store we use for blessings and dedications during the church year.

Come fill your senses, reconnect with familiar friends, and meet new ones, celebrating community and connection as we come home again to First Unitarian.

This service is for all ages. Invite your neighbors and friends! It will be followed by an Ice Cream Social and music. Childcare for infants to three-year-olds will be open on the second floor of the Parish House. Registration for children and youth programming will be open before and after the service.
