The proposed revision of Article II of the UU bylaws, scheduled for a vote during the days just prior to today’s service, states, “We covenant to protect Earth and all beings from exploitation”. How do we as UUs honor that?
Lorna Steele has worked with animals her entire life, rehabilitating orphaned seals with Mystic Aquarium, rehabilitating wild mammals from squirrels to bobcats, fostering neonate kittens for PawsWatch, and fostering dogs for the National Great Pyrenees Rescue. She is a certified Veterinary Technician, and Humane Educator. In September, she will be starting a chapter here at First U of the UU Animal Ministry. She has been a member of First Unitarian since 1992.
