First U joins hundreds of other UU congregations from around the country and world for this Sunday’s worship service. This major event of the UUA General Assembly will be live-streamed free to the public at 10am on the UUA website: www.uua.org/ga.
Rev. Joan Javier-Duval, minister of the Unitarian Church of Montpelier, VT, will deliver the sermon. A daughter of immigrants from the Philippines, she places beauty, gratitude, and love at the heart of her faithful striving for collective liberation and a thriving planet.
The worship service will include a collection from the Tomaquag Museum, an indigenous museum featuring an extensive collection and archive of Southern New England tribal communities.
The huge virtual GA Choir will be led by Benjie Messer, music director of the UU Congregation of Phoenix.
