Do we all know how to listen? How does being hard of hearing help to improve the skill of listening? What is the relationship between listening and respect for the worth and dignity of each person? 

Andrea Mernan is a longtime member of First Unitarian and has been on trips with other members to Transylvania and Scotland. Having had a hearing impairment for many years, she appreciates the attention that First U has paid to people who share that experience. As a psychiatrist, she has listened to many people in many ways over the years.
