Goals: Empowering youth leadership to take their place in our faith community.
Supporting and partnering with teens as they move forward on their lifelong spiritual journey.
Grades 9-12: Senior High Youth Group
The Senior High Youth Group uses UUA curricula and other sources to explore the nature and meaning of their evolving spirituality. On their paths to adulthood, they are encouraged to have an intentional role in their congregation and their communities.
Youth and advisors share leadership responsibilities, goal setting, and support. They are encouraged to participate in regional and denominational events. Youth are given opportunities to co-lead and participate in many congregational activities and actions.
A highlight of the year is the creation of the annual Senior High Youth Group service presented to the congregation in the spring, with recognition of the seniors bridging to the adult community.
